Our volley swim trunk meets the influential work of artist Josef Albers, known best for his iconic _Homage to the Square _series and pioneering work on color theory. Cut in lightweight fabric with a flattering silhouette—this swim trunk looks equally at home by the pool or at a cocktail party.
Behind The Design:
For this piece, we took a cue from Albers’ creative process in designing Homage to the Square. In order to visualize the perfect color composition, Albers would place torn strips of paper together until he could feel the relationship between each color. To stay true to this, each colored panel is individually cut and sewn into place; with color combinations taken directly from our favorite works in Albers’ Homage to the Square series.
